sl makes you pay attention

The sl binary is a funny little application that makes you pay attention when you type “ls“. If you have it installed and type sl by accident instead, an ASCII train will roam through your terminal screen instead. Try it.

    This is not a good idea for servers. Seems like a BOFH thing to do.

    Over a slow SSH terminal that doesn’t register keystrokes properly it is not uncommon for sl to accidentally be registered.

    In return you get a giant ASCII train over your slow connection. I’m totally blogging this!
